New Logo Creation for hometown

My current Hometown is Harrow, or Harrow Weald specifically. the current logo for my hometown is below:

It is a nice logo already but in my own opinion it is starting to look dated, whether it be the emblem part of the logo, which honestly looks like something out of the 1800s.

Or just generally the font of the logo is starting to look dated, especially when we live in a society filled with minimalism, so when making a new logo, I would be looking at a minimalist font, with a simple logo, I would also look at a different color that would be known to be "easy on the eyes".

This is my Idea for a new logo for my hometown harrow, I have created this using Adobe Photoshop. The Logo itself it created out of the shape tool that's on the program, whilst the text uses a font called "Fonseca" which is known for its minimalism:

This logo is transparent so please be aware that it may not show on your browser correctly if it is in light mode. the color that I have used for the logo is "Azureish White". The hex code for this is "#D4DDF2" and the RGB decimal is "212, 228, 242". I have chosen this color specifically as I personally, have found it to be quite easy on the eyes.

I feel like the new logo I created comparing it to the old one will show that we are moving more into the future now with how much of a dramatic difference there truly is between the both, the original logo looks very dated and from the past, whilst my design for a new logo looks more simplistic and more into the modern times what we are currently in.

Building Colors in the town

This is a color scheme that I would consider very easy on the eyes compared to the buildings which I describe as "not vibrant/ dull colors". Making the area more colorful/ vibrant would definitely bring alot more of a calming/ lively look compared to what the town looks like right now.

for the purple colors anyways, buildings that should have them would be the 'harrow council' buildings, or just general city/ public buildings. grey/ white / black can be for businesses shops and individuals/ families residences.

These are some example images taken by myself of a few buildings that are in harrow weald:

As you can see, these buildings look quite dull looking with their current colors, if I were to choose, giving them all a fresh coat of white/ or black/grey paint would definitely bring alot more life out of these buildings.

Building Examples with the color scheme:

These are the building examples with the color scheme, in my opinion it looks much cleaner compared to above with its more basic/ modern color scheme.

Slogan

For slogan(s), I have thought of a basic but in my own opinion, a very 'powerful slogan', "Belong as a family together, Embrace, Thrive". Belonging and Embracing together meaning to be all collectively peaceful together as families/ neighbours. Thriving, meaning to Thrive in whatever we do, such as education, work, or any hobbies we may do.

Current Harrow transport (buses/trains etc.)

In my own opinion, Harrow transport is quite good when it comes to accessibility, being able to find buses and trains relatively close to neighbourhoods, making it very easy for students to access and get to school easily, and also making it easy for families/ workers to get into the main town square area in harrow using most of the bus/ train routes.

However, The main flaw of the current transport is the buses that are used right now, Though there are a few 'electric' buses out in the wild, there isn't enough, there is still a large number of normal diesel buses bringing out alot of fumes in the air. To improve the environment/ transport in harrow, replacing all petrol/diesel buses in harrow would be the priority.

Changing a few bus routes to accommodate high school/ college students should be in order aswell, as the current routes can have quite abit of traffic in the morning hours during the week due cramped roads in the area, making difficult for buses to pass through, so having bus stops off those roads would make traffic.

This is an example of a bus route in harrow that would take a student to their school. with the main issue being traffic in the morning as the route takes them through slim/ cramped roads.

This is my transport map solution to the currently flawed route that would take someone from Area A to Area B with less overall traffic for the bus. I believe this route would be great for students and to those working as the bus would go through neighbourhood roads ( which are also quite wide roads ) making it easier for everyone to access the bus from near their homes.

This is my final solution: To have more buses to go through neighborhood roads, this is to make it easier for students/ and those who go to work get to the bus much quicker. Also having electric buses would be a must have to keep everything Eco friendly. And the solution to those that prefer to not use the bus, is the ability to rent electric bikes from areas around the community.
